Project Aquila

This is a personal engineering project I have been working on. I decided to try a more experimental blended wing fuselage type to figure out how something like this would be designed and if the shape of this fuselage would be more efficient than a conventional tube and wing fuselage. The model is meant to be manufactured using fused-filament fabrication techniques and put together with bolts and glue, to test the airframe in longer durations a motor can be installed at the back with servo actuators at the wings for sustained flight using a radio controller. This model was first conceptualized on paper, later on some orthographic views were designed in AutoCAD and lastly designed in a 3D environment in Fusion 360, the renders were done by importing the model into Maya and using the Arnold renderer.
